Jeff Blair has reported within the past hour at globesports.com that the Alex Rios-for-Tim Lincecum deal with the San Francisco Giants is dead in the water.
Instead of getting Rios for the middle of their lineup, Los Gigantes decided to give Aaron (Park Effects) Rowand $60-million across five seasons, which is too hilarious by half. Over at McCovey Chronicles, everyone is just sideways over the wisdom of giving a five-year deal to a player who's had only one good offensive season.
