WRAPPING UP THE WEEK

What kept you distracted while the domestication of the dog continued unabated.

SATURDAY: Say hello the Buffaslug. Oh, and the day before: Girlfriends on Film.

SUNDAY: The end drew nigh for your Toronto Blue Jays. Ninety wins... Can the Jays at least deliver that? The NFC Norris rundown kicked off with a look at the Detroit Lions, who will be terrible again.

MONDAY: Chris Pronger... there's some lingering gripes, and Dominek Hasek returned to the Red Wings. Who says the WHA will never come back? With the Dominator, the Wings are the World Home for the Aged.

TUESDAY: It was explained why, appearances to the contrary, the Chicago Bears will not repeat as NFC Norris champs.

WEDNESDAY: What do you mean the Blue Jays might be out of money? The last part of the NFC Norris lowdown (and it was low of me) looked at the Green Bay Packers, Laura Quinn's man-hands and believe it or not, included a Mean Girls reference. Oh, and Ross Rebagliati, don't you think that character you think is based on you may just have been acting that way to infiltrate an international gang of idiots? It is possible.

THURSDAY: Wishing we could be in Newark for Britney Baby Safety Night; a Blog Blast Past on so-called TV personalities and Chase Utley is goin' streaking. Everybody into the gymnasium!

FRIDAY: Say this for the Jays: No one's setting anything on fire in the clubhouse. (Yet.) Rogers Sportsnet kept Nick Kypreos but lost most of its Raptors coverage; and the Caucasian Wide Receivers of America turned out not to be an cleverly named emo band. My mistake.

Enjoy your long weekend, Canada. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
