Snark break!

Suffice to say, Sam Zell will soon feel a lot like every Cubs fan did on Saturday.

More great headlines that can never be written: "New Hockey Night in Canada theme could have been written by a 13-year-old."

The Saginaw Spirit have fired their general manager. Forgive anyone in Kingston for thinking that was forbidden under Ontario Hockey League rules.

It's still amazing the Minnesota Vikings won on Monday Night Football. Their best defensive play is Antoine Winfield on a corner blitz. It might also be their best offensive play, aside from when Bernard Berrian runs the wrong route and catches the ball anyway.

This is making the rounds, but the company whose sponsorship paid for that pool at the Arizona Diamondbacks ballpark has filed for bankruptcy.

Listen for the person yelling, "Terrorist!" when John McCain asks rhetorically, "Who is Barack Obama?"

Jeepers. At least the Democrats could lose with a little dignity.

This post is worth nothing, but this is worth noting

  • Nate Silver, the inventor of the PECOTA system that is near and dear to statheads, is on The Colbert Report tonight. More to the point, Silver is the brains behind FiveThirtyEight.com, which projects the presidential election. Colbert will argue on behalf of baseball writers that it's far better to just look things up in your gut.
  • Jimmy Kimmel potentially being second fiddle to Jay Leno just seems so wrong.

If McCain had any self-respect or any love for his country he would have said: "No, douchebag, he's not a terrorist. Just a Democrat."

GOP supporters are a sad, lost, hopeless bunch.

That type of shit honestly makes me sick.

To be fair, I was at the last NDP rally screaming COMMIE! every time Layton tried to speak.

I was just thinking of the children. Someone has to protect them from the socialists.

So that was you I kept hearing, Duane...Another piece of the puzzle, falls into place...

"Commie" would actually be more appropriate at a Gilles Duceppe rally, given that he was a member of the Workers Communist Party of Canada for three years.
