STILL NOT FINNISH-ED AND STILL BETTER THAN RAYCROFT



Vesa Toskala letting in a goal from behind the other net amounts to an attempted mercy killing -- and yet the Leafs still refuse to just die already.

The recap describes it as "one of the longest goals of the NHL season." Name one longer.

Hardy Astrom, eat your heat out.

As the father of a goalie, I felt for Toskala on that one. Every goalie is going to give up an ugly one like that at least once in their careers. The important part, as I told my offspring this morning, is that he didn't let it destroy him. As you can see, Toskala didn't let in another goal for the rest of the night.

Well, it was the Islanders. The last time they scored six goals in a game, Al Arbour took the whole team out for pizza.
