Suffice to say, Jays DH Frank Thomas' budding TV career is going about as well as Tie Domi's.
Broadcasting & Cable reported that the network has airlifted in Ron Darling, who was a colour commentator during the first round, to beef up its tepid studio team that includes Thomas and Cal Ripken Jr..
No word if the Big Hurt asked Domi (still employed at TSN, so far as anyone knows) for broadcasting tips... this means that the only way Frank will get TV time next October is when the Jays make the playoffs. The words "2009 AL East champs" were not inked on the underside of my Jays hats in jest, although it might have been wiser to leave the last two digits blank: "20--."
