BLEEDING TRICOLOUR: ALS IN THE FAMILY

Evidently, Montréal Alouettes president Larry Smith wanted to make sure the entire family can be home for Thanksgiving. Smith's team, who already employs his son-in-law, kicker Damon Duval, has s signed the boss' son, Brad Smith, off the Toronto Argonauts practice roster.

Smith is one in a long line of Queen's pass catchers — James MacLean, Iain Fleming, Craig Spear and current Gael Rob Bagg — who can all attest to the tough time a Canadian receiver can have getting a foothold in the CFL. No doubt Smith will get a chance on his merits, but it does tickle that Larry Smith has his son and son-in-law on his team. Will he be doing any blogging for his new team?
