RAPTORS: DELFINO ADDS DEPTH

The Raptors' move to bring in Carlos Delfinocan be read as, among other things, a thinly veiled shape-up-or-ship-out message from Bryan Colangelo to the underachieving Joey Graham.

It's the classic Colangelo bargain-bin pickup. Delfino's only making $1.8 mill and he might provide insurance at the 3-spot if Jorge Garbajosa is slow to come around after his season-ending injury last season. Delfino isn't a cure-all for the Raps' small-forward situation, but he seems to play bigger than his listed height of 6-foot-6 and might be able to shore up the rebounding, which was often weak last season. Getting him at the salary he's making is a decent move.
