LYNX: WATSON TIES RECORD

Brandon Watson tied the International League record for longest hit streak in the Columbus Clippers' 5-4 win (boxscore, play-by-play) over the Lynx today with a fourth-inning double off Lynx left-hander Eude Brito , making it 42 games in a row to match the record set by Jack Lelivelt in 1912.

Brito (four runs, three earned in 3 1/3 innings) still hasn't come around. Chris Roberson, Watson's counterpart in centre field and in the leadoff spot, had one of his best games all year, 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored.

J.D. Durbin (2-4, 4.82, 1.48 WHIP) is slated to start for the Lynx vs. Columbus righty Felix Diaz
(4-4, 5.70, 1.48 WHIP) in today's game (1:05, Rogers 22).
