PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS?! DAY 33

What you might have missed while haggling over a previously enjoyed copy of The Ladies Man.

Ducks 4 Red Wings 3 (West final tied 1-1): Hey, Anaheim was due to win and take it back to California all even. The brothers Niedermayer, Scott and Rob, got all the notice, although Francois Beauchemin played a game-high 37:49 and was plus-3.

Todd Bertuzzi watch: Just 13:51 of ice time, no shots on goal.

It will be interesting to see who is willing to take a flier on Bertuzzi this summer. 32 year olds coming off back surgery just can't play a physical game, and Bertuzzi without a physical edge is just another perimeter player, kind of like Lindros in these last few years.

Here's a thought -- might he end up back in Vancouver? The Canucks certainly need some offense, and the fans there would embrace him. Maybe it will be like a Luc Robitaille in LA, Trevor Linden in Vancouver thing, where he can only really play well in that one city. Bertuzzi isn't going to get any big money, long term offers, so perhaps he would be willing to return to Vancouver for a short term, discounted deal in order to re-establish himself.
