Small world: Jason Yuel, the player who scored in the fifth overtime in the fifth overtime early this morning to put the Prince George Spruce Kings into tonight's RBC Royal Bank Cup, was a rookie with the Portage Terriers in 2003-04 when one of us covered sports for the Portage la Prairie Daily Graphic.
One of the best "jube shots" we ever got during our stint in The Mighty PlaP was of Yuel just about to throw his arms around a teammate in the seconds after the Terriers won the division title that season.
Prince George plays the Aurora Tigers in tonight's final (11 p.m. Eastern, TSN).
