HOCKEY LAST NIGHT...

Capitals 6 Flyers 2: It's Alex Ovechkin's world, and everyone not named Sidney Crosby lives in it.

Predators 5 Ducks 4 (overtime): Bad enough no one in the States can get Versus, the game they showed last night was Detroit-Colorado instead of this dandy, where Steve Sullivan buried the winner in OT off a nifty centring feed from Kimmo Timonen.

Senators 5 Bruins 2: Pass...

'Canes 4 MarLeafs 1: A visit Monday to the Hall of Fame in downtown T.O. reminded Carolina that there are people out there who care about hockey, truly madly deeply. Who knew you needed to be inspired to beat the MarLeafs?

Coyotes 5 Stars 2: Phoenix has won seven straight. They're just as dumbfounded as you are.

NHL Scoreboard

Headlines: Mike Ricci may have a career-ending injury... Rory Fitzpatrick won't go to the all-star game... it's trade deadline day in major junior... James Mirtle looks at who are the busiest goalies, and it's clear that Dan Cloutier is way overworked.

Today's better games: Sabres-Blackhawks, 8 p.m.; Oilers-Sharks, 10:30 p.m.

That's all for now. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
