OTTAWA'S CFL SAGA CONTINUES

Don't have time for a full post on this but just moments ago on The Team 1200, a Canadian Football League spokesman, Perry Lefko, denied media reports that a team won't return to Ottawa until 2008.

Maybe so, maybe not. If it takes an extra year, so be it. It's worth getting this right before Ottawa re-enters the CFL. If for no other reason, waiting till '08 might make Frank D'Angelo lose interest and go away.

By the way, how long before Frank D'Angelo tries to get Tie Domi to do a commercial: "Tie, do you cheetah?"

Another aside: Why do media guys, in this case the radio hosts, express astonishment when CFL meetings have to be postponed because some of the owners are out of the country on business? News flash: the CFL is a minor league (and I love it for that), and for owners such as Bob Young in Hamilton or David Braley in British Columbia, their franchises are a very small part of their business interests.
