There are other trophies, you know

Remember, if you care about a couple bubble-gum pop singers showing up at an Ottawa Senators game, you're obligated to at least be aware our national women's hockey championship finally has its trophy.
CALGARY — Almost three years after it was unveiled by former governor general Adrienne Clarkson, the Clarkson Cup will finally pass into the hands of female hockey players.

Clarkson has reached a financial settlement with the artists who designed and created the Cup. She will personally present the silver trophy to the winner of the national women's hockey champion March 21 in Kingston, Ont., according to her lawyer.
True story: The other night we remarked that we'd never heard any of Hilary Duff's or Carrie Underwood's songs, or seen any movie or TV show where they had tainted our collective unconscious. "You gotta get out more," came the reply. Not getting out enough has nothing to do with it, friend.

I do not think I have heard Underwood or Duff sing either.

I have heard Adrienne Clarkson sing.

Or was that Kelly Clarkson? Oh well--what do you expect from a Leading Edge Boomer?
