Hume update


Canadian international Iain Hume continues to recover from the nasty skull fracture he received last month. Although it will be a long road back, it now appears that he will play again.

Hume did a nice interview with Sky Sports, which can be viewed here. He shows off the scar (which is insane) and tells the tale of the days that immediately followed the hit. As a bonus, he's interviewed with a framed and signed Wayne Gretzky jersey behind him (you can take the kid out of Canada, but...).

Barnsley fans are calling on the English FA to further suspend Sheffield United's Chris Morgan further for his role in the incident. There are more than 3,000 signatures on the petition as of this posting.

It's not just the fans either. Some British columnists are weighing in that Morgan got off way to easy (replace soccer with hockey and Morgan with whatever NHL thug currently topical and this type of column would fit right in any Canadian newspaper now).
