The word came late since the Rapidz had to finish a suspended game, but the club has added another local, first baseman-outfielder Greg Dumouchel, of Metcalfe, has been reacquired.
Dumouchel, who's a reverse crossover (bats right, throws left) was one of only two players who attended an open tryout in early May who earned an invitation into the Rapidz main camp. It's nice to see someone's persistence rewarded. Some of us should be so lucky.
The 22-year-old Dumouchel played in last night's 7-6 loss to the Quebec Capitales.
