Do you think this is evidence that Canadian papers are becoming serious in efforts to increase their high school sports coverage?
Then again, maybe a happy medium between the over the top U.S. coverage and the next to nothing coverage here (with apologies to the few great mid-sized papers in Canada that do a good job of HS coverage) might be the answer...

It's not just the sports sections, either: that story was the front-page photo in today's dead-tree edition of the National Post, and the story itself ran on A3. Hey, I thought it was a cool story, but it seems to have been a bit overplayed to my mind.
