RAPIDS INK TRIO

As more or less promised, the Ottawa Rapids' first three signees are all Canadians.

Mike Kusiewicz's involvement with his hometown team was already known, but now it's official that he is going to pitch this summer. The other signee is another lefty from the Ottawa region, Fraser Robinson.

Robinson played his college bell at Northwestern State in Louisiana. A quick check on his stats suggests he's a finesse pitcher; he was 5-5 with a 3.27 ERA in his junior year in 2006 and had a pretty good strikeout to walk ratio (61 to 24).

The first hitter, leftfielder, Jeremy Ware, is a comeback story. The long-time Expos farmhand played in the Inter-County League with the Guelph Royals last season.

Nice diggin N.

I didn't know where Ware played last season nor did I know that Northwestern State is in LA. Do you know where Robinson pitched last season?

Last spring was Robinson's sr. year down there, so it's possible he played senior amateur ball last season.
