PORT DOVER WILL BE IN THE MAJORS YET

A little late on this, but all the best to former Lynx catcher-corner infielder Dusty Wathan and his Canadian-born spouse, Heidi Wathan, as they embark on him beginning a managing career in the Philadelphia Phillies chain. Dusty will manage the Williamsport Crosscutters in the short-season Class A New York-Penn League next season.

Ottawa Lynx Blog has more. Between Yankees pitching prospect John Axford and Wathan being married to a woman from Port Dover, Ont., that small town down on Lake Erie might just see itself represented in the major leagues one of these days.
