RAPTORS: GARBA HELPS TAKES OUT PACERS

Gut reaction to the Raptors' 110-101 win over the Indiana Pacers:
  • Here's a pre-emptive move on Raptor Land, who foresaw that Jorge Garbajosa needed to play more: The Garba man played a season-high 21 minutes with eight points and six rebounds, including a three-ball during that run that got the Raptors turned around early in the second quarter.
  • Yes, the rebounding (minus-12 tonight) was in absentia. That's the effect of not having Rasho Nesterovic in there. There's no redoubtable rebounder when Chris Bosh is by his lonesome.
  • Forty-seven per cent from the field. That's better, considering the Pacers are second in the league in field goal percentage defence (they were mid-pack last season).
  • Expect someone with a bigger forum to say it to start beating the drum for the Raptors to make a move for a big-time 4-man if one becomes available. Not saying it's the right move, but some would prefer a stronger 9-deep rotation with a superstar than a 11-deep rotation with a bunch of solid role players.
