Sounds like it was a thriller in the U of O-Carleton women's basketball season opener last night: The Ravens won a defensive battle 57-56 on a last-second three by Kelly Killoran after trailing by 11 going into the fourth quarter.
Kelly Lyons had a double-double for the Ravens (11 points, 10 rebounds), while Katie Laurie (10 and 10) did so for the Gee-Gees. There's a good feeling about that Carleton team.
