JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS

Canada survived by the slimmest of margins -- cishoops.ca explains how -- and now needs to upset Argentina tomorrow to reach the quarters at the FIBA under-19 world championship.

The Australians played spoiler vs. the Argies today, escaping with a one-point win after being up double digits most of the way. Regina native Kai Williams, whose college team is incidentally nicknamed the Jackrabbits, scored 23 of his team-high 27 after halftime today in Canada's 99-83 win over Korea, which put up an absurd 42 three-point attempts.
