SENATORS OUGHTA KNOW NOT TO MESS WITH SUCCESS

Via Mirtle comes word that Ottawa landmark Lyndon Slewidge is out as the anthems singer for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final -- the NHL and/or the Senators are turning to Alanis Morrissette.

Back when she was just Alanis, of course, she sang the anthem at the Senators' first game in 1992. It's unclear if there's a talismanic quality to Slewidge's vowels that gives the Senators good luck, especially since he's performed before many a playoff flop job too.

Sens have not won a game in recent memory when Lyndon is absent.

Sounds like a swan song, with a hack singing the anthem.
