LYNX: SOME POP, BUT PITCHING LIES IN RUIZ

The Lynx are getting some righty-lefty balance back in their lineup — Randy Ruiz, who debuted in the 5-hole tonight's 8-5 loss vs. Toledo boxscore, play-by-play, had put up a .912 on-base plus slugging at Double-A Reading.

We'll see how it goes for Ruiz, but him and Brennan King (3-for-4 with with three RBI tonight), the Lynx have some right-handed punch around lefty cleanup man Gary Burnham.

Now, if only the pitching could get straightened out... tonight's loss means the local nine, at 31-43, .419 winning percentage, is indeed in the International League basement. The other callup from the R-Phils, Ryan Cameron didn't fare too well — four runs (three earned) in an inning and a third. He flubbed a Mud Hens sacrifice bunt in the fifth with the score 4-3 and was swimming upstream for the rest of his stint. It was probably somewhat more disappointing, though, that Eude Brito (1-4, 7.86) hasn't found a groove; he had four hits and four earnies in as many innings.
It's an all-righty matchup of Heath Totten (1-3, 5.63) vs. Ron Chiavacci (6-4, 3.52) tomorrow at noon.
