LYNX: THE HEADLINE JUST WRITES ITSELF

The Lynx, 3-2 winners (boxscore, play-by-play) tonight in their storm-shortened getaway game vs. Durham, had this one from the time Charlie Weatherby III (1-0) fanned Ottawa killer Justin Ruggiano with runners on second and third with only one out in the third inning.

OK, so they actually didn't go ahead for good until Jason Jaramillo tripled in the tying and winning runs in the fifth after Durham brought in left-hander Jon Switzer to flip switch-hitting JJ around to the right side. But when you can get tough outs, you get breaks later in the game. Besides, the Lynx (26-31) needed a win bad. Now it's on to Pawtucket and a return engagement tomorrow vs. the Red Sox's comeback kid, Jon Lester (1-1, 1.26, 0.91 WHIP). Bubba Nelson (0-1, 6.75, 1.25 WHIP) is slated to toe the mound for the Lynx.
