Charles P. Pierce, who's on the shortlist for the smartest magazine/web sportswriter in North America, has a piece up at Slate arguing that LeBron James, along with being the new Michael Jordan, has also copied MJ's "template for risk-free stardom, whereby involvement in the unruly hurly-burly of the real world is something that a star is not expected to do."
Not that this is going to make us root for the San Antonio Spurs vs. James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. Gooning it up vs. Steve Nash is forever.
