Canada's lineup for next month's world indoor lacrosse championship — which inexplicably being held in Halifax — includes John Gallant of the NLL's Colorado Mammoth, whose parents reside in the village of Vanessa, Ont., near Simcoe. Back in our days at The Reformer, we wrote a couple stories about John's sister Becky Gallant, who plays for the women's basketball at Brock.
