HOCKEY: KANATAN ON TEAM CANADA

Kanata's Cory Murphy, who plays with IFK Helsinki in the Finnish Elite League, is one of six players added to Team Canada for the preliminary round of the IIHF World Hockey Championship. Have to imagine that's a pretty unlikely thrill for the one-time standout with the the former Kanata Valley Lasers (now Kanata Stallions) of the Central Junior A loop.
