HOCKEY LAST NIGHT: OTTAWA-KINGSTON PLAYOFF RACE

Quick note -- the 67's remain one point back of the Kingston Frontenacs, but with a game in hand, for sixth place in the OHL's Eastern Conference.

Matt Auffrey popped the shootout winner in the Fronts' 6-5 victory over Sarnia in a game where the the Chris Stewart-Peder Skinner-Matt Kang line combined for eight points. Meantime, Ottawa got two points they might not have been expected to take, with Matthieu Methot scoring twice in a 5-4 win over conference-leading Barrie.

Both teams are back at 'er Sunday afternoon -- Sarnia visits the Civic Centre and Barrie is at the Mem Centre. And of course, they play Tuesday in Kingston in their final meeting of the regular season.
