HOCKEY LAST NIGHT: EMERY BUSTED FOR SLASH ON LAPIERRE

That little outburst from Saturday night just cost the Senators Ray Emery's services for the next three games. Boy, that otherwise dignified outfit way out there in the wilds of Kanata has really comported itself with class against the Canadiens this year.

By the way, when you search for most recent YouTube videos of Emery, this comes up. Don't get me wrong: Emery's fine by us, he's a good goaltender and it seems like the tightass hockey establishment often goes out of its way to crack on him just for living. With that in mind, for his sake here's hoping that YouTube vid isn't what the person who posted it claims it is. It's too grainy to be sure.

NHL Scoreboard

Shout-out to Stacy's Mom: Tyler Dellow of mc79hockey wrote the other day: "There's a story today in the National Post noting that Rachel Hunter's son is playing in the Quebec Peewee Tournament. I was surprised to learn that Jarret Stoll isn't the only hockey player she's raising."

Headlines: Dallas deals first-rounder for Ladislav Nagy; Boston U beats Boston College in overtime to win the Beanpot; World Juniors hero Jonathan Toews faces underage drinking charge in North Dakota (funny, he's old enough to vote, fight a war, be drafted by the NHL and drink legally in most Canadian provinces)

Today's better games: Islanders-Leafs, 7:30; Thrashers-Flames, 9:30

That's all for now. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
