Saw this on the wire last night and forgot to post it -- the National Collegiate Athletic Association is open to Canadian schools becoming members.

The usual suspects are the University of British Columbia, whose baseball program probably is up to NCAA Division 1 standards. Other border schools, such as St. Clair College in Windsor, might be eyeing joining Division 3 for hockey or maybe even football.

And we'll forgive the CIS football coaches and fans who are praying that this gives the Laval Rouge et Or some ideas...
