CIS CORNER: CLEVER PLAY ON 'GLOBAL VILLAGE' JUST NOT COMING...

Quick note; Team Canada is in the final of the Global Junior Football Championship tournament that's being held down at the Super Bowl at Miami; the Canuck footballers typically do pretty well at this (Team USA consists of only players from the city hosting the game).

Laval Rouge et Or coach Glen Constantin is looking after this year's squad, who beat France 14-0 and Japan 7-0 in their pool games today (20-minute games under U.S. rules). Dan Village, a Queen's Golden Gaels kicker, is handling all the kicking for Team Canada and defensive co-ordinator Pat Tracey is coaching the special teams. The other pool consists of the U.S., Mexico and Panama.

Much obliged to Bill Miklas for the tip.
