File this under the heading of "oi." The Kingston Frontenacs slipped five points behind Belleville in the OHL's East Division after blowing three two-goal leads in a 7-6 overtime loss to the first-place Bulls last night in the Friendly City.
The Fronts went up 6-4 with 8:03 left when Cory Emmerton popped in his 24th goal of the season, completing a four-point night. Then they had three straight power plays and a chance to ice the win. After one penalty call, angry Belleville fans littered the ice with giveaway red balls (who were the ad wizards who had the idea to hand those out?), which caused a five-minute delay and may have sapped Kingston's momentum. Either way, they let Belleville hang in, and the Bulls' Sean Matthias scored a shortie with 2:24 left before Fronts-killer Tyler Donati tied the game with 44 seconds left. Ouch.
That's all for now. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
