Like the Ohio State-Michigan game needed any more gravitas: Former Wolverines coach Bo Schembechler has died at age of 77 after collapsing earlier today.
Deadspin, naturally, has more, and yes, it's a little odd that there is a punk band of Buckeyes fans named the Dead Schembechlers.
Speaking of famous Americans passing and their relationship to college football... Milton Friedman, the Nobel Prize economist, died the other day. Maybe he was hanging on to see his alma mater, Rutgers, finally have a winning football team.
