Canada scored a big win at the Americas Olympic baseball qualifier in Havana last night -- Stubby Clapp's two-run double in the bottom the ninth capped a four-run rally and lifted the Canucks to a 6-5 win over Puerto Rico.
It was semi-halfway do-or-die for Canada, which lost its first game to the U.S. and is in tough since only two of the 12 teams will qualify for Beijing. Cuba and the U.S. have the inside track on those berths, but stranger things have happened in international baseball.
