Can someone explain why the Kingston Frontenacs would trade for someone who's not expected to play another OHL game in his life?

Yannick Weber will only be playing in Ontario if the Montreal Canadiens assign him to their AHL team in Hamilton.

    Apparently it was just part of the Shutron trade, so they're not giving anything up.

    Another question is why the Whig acted like this was newsworthy enough for an extensive bio of the guy.

    Maybe they're convinced that Mav's legendary "patience and perseverence" as Doug Jeffries put it will magically get him to report?
