What a hit ...

St. Louis Blues defenceman Jay McKee is from Amherstview, near Kingston, so that's an excuse to post this clip of the huge hit he threw last night.

A few years ago, at some hometown friends' wedding, a cousin of the bride kept telling us about the time he took a ride in a Hummer with Jimmy Key, the old Blue Jays pitcher. It took a few seconds to realize that the guy he thought was named "Jimmy Key" was actually Jay McKee. Still, this dude was on good enough terms with someone to finagle a ride in a NHL player's Hummer, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.
