The daily Sennies swipe

James Mirtle is running a poll at From The Rink on which team is going to end up with the No. 1 overall NHL draft choice.

The Senators, at this writing, only have 13 of 173 votes cast, putting them well behind the lead dogs in the race (Tampa Bay and the New York Islanders). Point being, they're in this discussion.

From The Rink is also in the first round of the Busted Coverage blog tournament. Go forth!

Tanking to get the first pick overall actually might not be a bad strategy for the Senators. This upcoming draft is a pretty deep one, so if the Senators were going to hit the skids they picked a good year to do it. (Sorry - it's that "glass half full" thing that I always have going.)

Get Hedman, he'll be everything Chara became — in Boston.
