The Ottawa Senators season just took a strange turn. Sportsnet is reporting that Ontario's second favourite Swedish hockey player is to undergo surgery.
Bone chips. No word on how long he will be out. It's better now than May, but the Sens will need every point they can get to be sure they are playing in May.
EDIT: They are saying two weeks. So, not bad. But, to paraphrase The Meaning of Life, every point is sacred in today's NHL.
