Note from the Super: SportsBlogNet.com launches into Beta

The following is a paid announcement ... with guiters? (What? No guitars? Fine then.)

As you can see on the right-hand column, Out of Left Field is part of a new Sports Blog Network at SportsBlogNet.com, which is launching today across North America.

SportsBlogNet.com is a site that feeds in over 50 great sports blogs and links back out to all of them. They drive traffic to our site and also sell ads for all the blogs in the network.

At SportsBlogNet.com you can.

Currently SportsBlogNet.com has approximately 56 blogs in the network with a reach of approximately 200,000 unique visitors per month which is growing daily.

Check it out.

They are interested in hearing your feedback.

Nice Clash reference... Know your blogs/these are your blogs

I think this collective concept is the future of independent sports blogging. Eventually I see a situation where invitation only blog networks form and seek recognition as legitimate news gathering organizations. In short, they would adopt many of the things that you see in the MSM (quality control, established ethical standards, accreditation and and, most importantly, a business model based on ad revenue), but would seek to maintain the unique voice of the blogosphere.

I welcome this future, although I'm not sure the concept will be popular in the early stages.
