Avoid the obvious "get Hammered" headlines

There seems to be a happy development in the saga of Wayne The Beer Guy.

The FAN 590's Roger Lajoie mentioned about a hour ago that the Ice... Cold... Beer... Guy, AKA Wayne McMahon, is going to be serving beer on Thursday at Ivor Wynne Stadium when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats bend over for host the Toronto Argonauts. Of course, it would have been preferable for Aramark, the Rogers Centre caterer, to do what was right and give McMahon his job back after terminating him for a bogus reason. That being said ... it's in Hamilton and Jesse Lumsden might not play -- the hometown fans might be driven to drink.

This story has been Drunk Jays Fans' baby from the beginning, of course -- to the point there was reluctance to post about this after hearing it on the radio. McMahon, whose Facebook group has grown to more than 20,000 members, was pouring pilsner last week at an Inter-County League baseball game in Hamilton, and the hometown team lost. That streak will surely continue on Thursday.
