The story of Darnellia Russell's journey from likely NCAA D-1 player to documentary star to equal rights advocate to blacklisted player to Thunder Bay (!?!)is difficult to comprehend.
The Globe's Allan Maki does a pretty good job of telling it. Far better than I could anyway so...
