Fletcher is staying for another year.
Maybe it's time for the Toronto old boy's club to let someone else run the city's hockey team.

Not so much a general sports blog as an irregularly updated desperate plea for help.

B.J ryan fails again.... BAH!!!
Bah ... when Joe Inglett is on base as many times as the other eight spots in the lineup, it's on the hitters.
The Jays pitchers gave up eight runs in three games, and they lost 2-of-3. C'est la vie.
Three-for-21 with runners in scoring position ... when in doubt, fire the manager!
Once I talk Neate off the ledge I'll let him expand on the Jays, but...when you only get four hits all day...
Funny, that.
Neate,
Did you say fire the general manager? 'Cause that's what I (wanted) to hear.
I was done with Gibbons middle of 2006 ... he's a good guy to have as a third-base coach or as your manager in Triple-A, but he's in over his head as a major-league manager.
There will likely be a housecleaning after this season ... Rogers beancounters will say no more big spending and that will hasten the exits of "Godcciardi" (hat tip to Pete Toms).
Seriously, if they're not going to bring up Adam Lind, then sign Barry Bonds ... they are getting nothing out of left field.
Gibbons got tossed today, but really, that ejection should have come on Sunday. Those are my random thoughts.
Adam Lind is hitting .339/.395/.544 at Syracuse ... granted, that's bumped by his hitting in day games (they play more in Triple-A ball).
Clean house now... or get a new manager while there is still a chance for making the playoffs...
Also... the jays need to get a set up man...
Whats the deal with Accardo?
