It's being widely reported that Ron Wilson has been offered the Leafs head coaching position. It's also being suggested that Cliff Fletcher will stay on as GM for another year, likely paving the way for Brian Burke to move to Toronto after his contract with the Ducks is up.
Like sands through the hour-glass...
Wilson isn't a bad get (although the Sharks probably should have done more over the last couple years), but it's hard to understand what exactly the fetish with Burke is. Actually, the whole going-to-find-a-GM-to-save-us belief that Leafs' fans have is cute, and terribly misguided.
Unless Burke can give Bryan McCabe, you know, skills...
