Lakers/Celtics--how nice for you David

As we sit two days before the NBA's wet dream final, it's worthwhile to take a trip down memory lane to watch this:

God love the NBA--so shameless. Amazing luck that the Bulls won the draft lottery, eh?

(Boston in 6).

I'm not sure I see your point. The Bulls? You think Stern and the NBA care that much about the Bulls to rig the 2008 draft in their favour? Please. I'll agree the NBA wanted — and likely did everything in its power to get — a Boston/LA Final. But the Knicks, of a much bigger media market than Chicago, were in the lottery, too. And they recently fired Thomas, so the NBA would have reason to rig it in favour of the Knicks before the Bulls. Not to mention, Jordan's Bobcats were in this year's lottery, too. As were the Pacers, of basketball mad Indiana and the Nets, who are owned by rap mogul Jay-Z and moving to Brooklyn. But to rig it for the Bulls? No way.

I'm not sure what I'm getting at either Greg. ;)

I 'm not 100 per cent convinced the NBA fixes things, but there is anecdotal evidence to suggest that it does. I was kind of just throwing it out there at 8 a.m. on a Tuesday...

And, yes I do think the NBA views the Bulls as one of its marque markets.

Would it be obsessive of me to fix a typo four hours later?

Four hours? No.

Four months? Yes.
