RAPIDS: MIRABELLI TO LAND IN LEAGUE?

Fun little Rapids-related rumour: Catcher Doug Mirabelli, who earned a couple World Series rings catching Tim Wakefield's knuckler in Boston but is at loose ends after being released, could end up in the Can-Am League with the Nashua Pride.

Okay, so it's a long shot, but the reasoning is that Mirabelli gets a little rest with the later start to the indie ball in the season and would be close by if the Sox need a catcher in July or August. Former Red Sox hitting coach Richie Hebner is on Nashua's staff, so there's a loose connection.
