No word of a lie, I bought the Season 1 DVDs of Friday Night Lights late on a lazy Tuesday afternoon, watched all 22 episodes in order in a span of about 28 hours and thus was late to pick up on the news that there will be a third season.
All together now: "Clear eyes, full hearts... decent ratings!"
It does kind of suck that there's nothing known about the disposition of the seven remaining episodes from Season 2 that haven't been filmed yet due to the writers' strike.
Didn't the last episode that aired end at halftime of a game? The Dillon marching band must be nearing exhaustion.
