It's taken a full 24 hours to digest that the sportswriters who vote for the Pro Football Hall of Fame don't have much more on the ball than their much-maligned brethren who cover baseball.
Cris Carter and Andre Reed get passed over for the Hall of Fame, and Art Monk gets in? Really?
Evidently, that's the difference between being part of a Super Bowl-winning team that played on the East Coast, and being a Minnesota Viking or a Buffalo Bill.
Then again, all Carter did was catch touchdown passes. Right, Buddy Ryan?
