THAT'S A SHAME

Well, the Epic Carnival gang did advance to the second round of the 2007 Sports Blog of the Year Tournament, so thank you to anyone from this site who clicked over and voted.

Now the bad news: At this writing, we are getting curbstomped royally by the No. 2 seed in the Deadspin region, the baseball geeks from MLB Trade Rumors (and no, they don't get the satisfaction of getting a link).

Suffice to say, we have conceded faster than a CFL team facing third-and-long at its own 1-yard line. By the way, since when does any self-respecting baseball fan ever use the abbreviation MLB? That's like a self-respecting hockey fan calling the boards "walls."

As a final eff-you to the whole exercise, it's unjust that they couldn't find a way to fit in a single hockey blog into the field of 64. James Mirtle or Kukla's Korner surely could have been the George Mason of this whole shootin' match, but now no one will ever know. For shame.
