If only it always worked out this way: A burst brine pipe at the ancient Memorial Centre meant the Kingston Frontenacs' game vs. the Kitchener Rangers was postponed.
So the hometown Whig-Standard had to give more attention to the Tier II Junior A team, the Kingston Voyageurs. Their hotshot 16-year-old, Jordan Mayer, only had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win. That's a good reminder that the Frontenacs should be busting ass to get this guy in uniform.
Apparently the Frontenacs expecting a big crowd, 2,500 to 2,700, maybe more. Some of us remember when that was a small crowd in Kingston on a Friday night. That was before Larry Mavety was installed as GM-for-life.
