CANUCK BALLER'S FEELING MINNESOTA

Remember this name: Devoe Joseph of Pickering, Ont., who was one of the standouts for Canada at the world under-19 basketball championship this summer, has committed to play in the Big 10 for the Minnesota Golden Gophers next season.

By most accounts, Joseph is a scoring point guard who can shoot the lights out and play either spot in the backcourt. If you're up for poking through the labryinth of websites dedicated to college recruiting, which for the average Canadian might as well be written in a foreign language, you'll find plenty about him. The 6-foot-3 Joseph even got a mention in the N.Y. Daily News basketball blog, pretty heady stuff.

Don't forget, there's another Joseph, Cory Joseph, who was only 15 this summer but played critical minutes for Canada in the under-19s.
